The Travel Control System is a fully integrated system which allows a travel agent to maintain records on travel suppliers and customers and to generate and maintain invoices. The system includes powerful search and reporting functions which allow the user to find suppliers for a
specific destination, track commission and balances due, track customer and supplier activity, and print file lists and mailing labels. The utilities system allows the user to backup and restore files and to access an on-line help menu. The system operates from a user-friendly, intuitive menu system which can use either the keyboard or a mouse. Although it is a DOS program, there are several Windows features, such as pull-down windows and cut/paste. This program is a fully functional demo and may be freely distributed as shareware. It was designed for outside agents or at-home agents.
Version 2.3 of TCS adds the following features:
Invoice Cloning - This feature is especially useful for group bookings. It allows you to "clone" an invoice, i.e., you may copy all but the customer information onto a new invoice.
After you view a report on the screen, you may be able to send it to the printer without having to select the search criteria all over again.
When entering the invoice details, you may now bring up a list of suppliers from which to choose by entering '0000' or any other invalid supplier number.
Invoice details now accept only civilian time but the itinerary will still sort on the departure time field. For accuracy, you should go back into your invoice details and re-enter the times so that they will print in the correct format.
Customer phone numbers will now be printed on invoices.
The comment field in the customer file is now of an unlimited length.
Note: FILES and BUFFERS in CONFIG.SYS should be set to 40
